A boat instead of a big yacht
For a couple, a family or a handful of friends, a smaller boat is often the smarter choice. You still get a private deck, a professional crew and the same skyline gliding past, just at a size that keeps the hourly rate down. It is an easy, unfussy way onto the water for a first outing or a relaxed cruise past the Marina and the Palm.
Looking for a speedboat?
We do not currently list speedboats or RIBs, and we would rather say so than send you to a page with none. The closest alternatives are the small yachts here: the 35 ft Gulf Craft sport-fishing boat and the 41 to 50 ft cruisers are quick, easy to board and priced by the hour like a speedboat, with shade, a toilet and room to sit. If you specifically want a fast open boat or a jet ski, ask us and we will check what the operator can offer on your date.
What a smaller boat suits
Compact boats handle sundowners, short skyline loops and calm daytime swim stops comfortably, and the two hour minimum is enough to see the highlights. They are nimble around the Marina and quick to reach the Palm. Bring swimwear and let us know if you want drinks arranged. What is the difference between a boat and a yacht?
The line is loose, but we use boat for the smaller, more affordable vessels and yacht for the larger, more luxurious ones. Both are private and crewed. If you want a budget-friendly cruise for a small group, a smaller boat is usually the best fit.
Can a small boat still reach the Palm and skyline?
Yes. Smaller boats depart the Marina and reach the skyline, Ain Dubai and the Palm within minutes, following the same coastline as the bigger yachts. The captain tailors the route to your time, so a two hour trip still takes in the icons.
How many people fit on a smaller boat?
Capacity is set per vessel for safety and smaller boats suit couples and small groups rather than large parties. Share your headcount and we will confirm the maximum for the boats available and, if your group grows, suggest a larger yacht instead.
